Form Four Ex-Candidates Seminar
- 11thDec 2023
The Interfaith Youth Forum is an annual event that brings together youth from different faiths to dialogue about building peace through environmental initiatives. It started in 2008 just after post-election violence, gathering over 2000 youth every year, and it is organized collaboratively by the Office of Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation Franciscans Africa (JPIC-FA), Mercy Schools, Muslim Society of Kenya, and the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA).
This year's forum brought together youth from diverse faith backgrounds to engage in meaningful discussions surrounding peace, environmental conservation, and climate action under the Them: “Harmony for a Green Sustainable World: Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty for Justice and Peace”
The event took place on two consecutive days; 15th and 16th September 2023 at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa where sisters of Mercy secondary schools were invited. About 300 students from mercy-associated schools took part in the forum.
Schools that participated included; OLM Secondary School South, OLM Secondary School Shauri Moyo, St. Anne’s Secondary School, and St. Michael’s Secondary School who took part on the two days.
